Maida Vale Retirement Village is located on the site of an old stockade on Devon Road, Bell Block, New Plymouth.  Set among 6.8 hectares of undulating, park-like grounds, the site is elevated, providing panoramic view of the mountain, the port, sea and Taranaki countryside.

There are breathtaking views from all areas of the Village.  Residents can relax in comfort and study the many moods of the Tasman Sea.  On a clear day, the coastline is visible all the way to White cliffs in the north.  To the west, Port Taranaki, with all of its shipping activities. Sugar Loaf Islands come into view.  To the south, Mount Egmont (Taranaki) dominates the skyline; with its snow-capped crest in winter, the mountain is spectacular.  To the east the busy little community of Bell Block, surrounded by farmland, is located.  From time to time Mount Ruapehu and Mount Tongariro are also clearly visible.
